Responding to the Coronavirus

May 28, 2020

You can offer hope. Every once-homeless family Bridge of Hope serves has been impacted by coronavirus and stay-at-home orders. Now more than ever, families facing homelessness are vulnerable, alone and living in the margins.

The Bridge of Hope National Board established a Coronavirus Response Fund to provide additional support to families in the program, and to accept more families in crisis into the program.  The Board set a goal of $60,000 by July 31 and every Board member pledged their support. Currently $31,707 has been raised for the Fund. Will you make a gift to help a family facing homelessness?

Your gift will be used to meet the critical, acute needs of families we are serving in Lancaster and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania, as well as our locations across the country.  You will help provide rental assistance and family emergency funds, funding to accept more families into the program, and funds to provide leadership and case-management support to the frontline staff throughout our 20 locations.

You can help someone like Carmen… Carmen joined Bridge of Hope last fall after fleeing an abusive relationship. She began working at a local retirement community and was taking classes to become a CNA when stay-at-home orders were issued. Suddenly Carmen was without childcare, and was forced to reduce her work hours. Carmen is struggling with diminished income, accumulating bills, the fears of working in healthcare, and taking care of her young daughter alone.

Please give to support Carmen and families in Bridge of Hope who are desperate for help, and for new families seeking hope during these challenging times. Now more than ever, Neighboring is vital for families facing homelessness. You can give hope.

Click here to give securely online or mail your gift to PO Box 304, Exton, PA 19341.

Thanks for the HOPE you make possible for Carmen and other moms like her,
