Amber’s Story

When Amber’s partner made a threatening comment towards her, Amber knew she needed to leave for her and her daughter Emilia’s safety. With nowhere else to go, Amber and Emilia slept on a mat in a storage room at a relative’s house. She searched for an apartment and applied for assistance, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t afford rent and didn’t qualify for help.

Amber felt alone. Hopeless. Stuck.

Then, everything changed. Because of generous donors like you and the support of Bridge of Hope, Amber and Emilia finally found more than just a home—they found people who cared. With the help of Neighboring Volunteers, they built a new life filled with safety and the belief that they’d never again be alone.
