Training and Education Director at the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania and former National Board Member, Ben has spent his career serving in a variety of roles in the work of ending homelessness. Ben will take an honest look at the challenges facing our communities, from rising housing instability to shifting responses that can deepen stigma. Ben joins us for two engaging joint sessions and pairs real talk with renewed hope, highlighting proven strategies that work and how we can build on them together. Gain practical insight on scaling impact, sharing ideas and partnering more effectively to remove barriers and help more families find their way home.
Teaching & Family Pastor at The Bridge Church in Brooklyn, NY, Director of Partnerships & Content Development at Our Daily Bread Ministries and producer of Juneteenth, Faith and Freedom, Rasool draws on the story of Nehemiah to consider how God invites us to move from inspiration to intentional rebuilding in the work of ending family homelessness. Then through a special joint workshop using a practical framework, Rasool will help us learn how to foster trust, navigate differing perspectives, and collaborate more effectively. You’ll also gain hands-on tools for identifying strengths within communities, leveraging existing resources, and developing strategies that lead to meaningful, measurable impact.
We’ll close the conference with an inspiring and thought-provoking session from Bridge of Hope National CEO, Edith Yoder, as she reflects on the urgency of our shared work, especially in light of the recent 39% increase in family homelessness nationwide. Together, we’ll take a clear look at the moment we’re in and why hope can’t wait. This session will also explore what makes the Bridge of Hope model uniquely impactful, including the vital role of the Church and Neighboring Volunteers in creating lasting change. Come ready to be encouraged, challenged and reminded of the essential part we each play in helping families on their journey to wholeness.
Help us recognize the staff and board members who embody Bridge of Hope’s Core Values in exceptional ways. Nominations are open for any staff or board member across the Bridge of Hope Network, including Affiliates, Program Sites and OneChurch Sites.
