Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of donors, churches, foundations and community partners, Bridge of Hope has successfully reached its $9.3 million Making Room Campaign stretch goal. Together, we have expanded housing access, strengthened whole-family support and positioned Bridge of Hope to serve more families – right when the need is greatest.
A message from Bridge of Hope National CEO Edith Yoder and National Director of Development Jonathan Matías, reflecting on what your partnership has accomplished and why this milestone matters.
Your generosity made room for hope, dignity and stability – and helped build solutions that last. Because of you:
Since 2020, Bridge of Hope’s national network has seen a striking 441% increase in families seeking support. Single-parent families continue to struggle to find affordable housing, with rising costs forcing many into displacement. The time to transition from homelessness to stable housing has doubled in recent years, leaving families with increased stress, isolation, and financial uncertainty.
Imagine giving a single mother and her children the chance to move into safe, stable housing – transforming months of living in a car or shelter into a new beginning. With the support of Neighboring Volunteers and case managers, families turn trauma into hope, pain into resilience, and homelessness into homes filled with love and security.
Through the Making Room campaign, Bridge of Hope has expanded and is continuing to expand affordable housing, enhance whole family support services, and expand the Neighboring Movement into more communities – reaching even more families in need. But we need your help to achieve this vision.
Challenge Inflation and economic instability have driven rental housing costs to historic highs, making it difficult for single parents to secure affordable housing.
Opportunity Bridge of Hope has expanded access to affordable housing by providing rental assistance, cultivating landlord relationships, purchasing, renovating and partnering to build housing units. These investments are reducing the amount of time that families spend waiting for housing.
Challenge Families facing homelessness continue to experience increased levels of stress, isolation, financial insecurity and trauma.
Our Response Campaign support has strengthened the scaffolding around families, expanding whole-family services that promote healing and long-term stability. Bridge of Hope is providing increased access to mental health resources, engaging more Neighboring Volunteers, strengthening financial management and employment pathways, and empowering mothers as leaders within their communities.
Challenge Communities across the country are facing a growing crisis of family homelessness, resulting in more displaced and disheartened families.
Our Response Bridge of Hope has expanded its reach into new communities nationwide and increased services in our Learning Lab locations in Lancaster and Chester Counties. By fostering cultural humility and growing our endowment, we are ensuring that more families can find a place to call home.
