Joanne, a Bridge of Hope Neighboring Volunteer, recently said, When I remember to love instead of judge, I’m getting closer to loving like Jesus.

Joanne’s words resonate with a core belief that we hold at Bridge of Hope – that everyone is made in the image of God.  And we believe that God’s invitation is to love our neighbors in the same way we love our own families and ourselves.

Our faith teaches us that everyone is our neighbor, equally valued and beloved by God. And this, my friends, is Good News.

By loving like Jesus, families in Bridge of Hope like Amber and her daughter experience authentic hope in their darkest places.

Amber’s words serve as a constant reminder to me that we cannot slow down this work of ending family homelessness:

“Bridge of Hope genuinely saves mothers and children from some of the worst situations they could be in. Having an organization that protects and helps women – it will change your life for the better.”

Every parent and child facing homelessness deserves a stable place to live, a home to return to at the end of the day.

Nearly three years ago, we launched the Making Room Campaign with a bold hope: to strengthen housing and mental health support for families facing homelessness and to help more Bridge of Hope communities grow across the country.

In these three years, rental housing costs have continued to rise, and family homelessness increased by 39% this past year alone.  The need keeps pressing us to try to do more.

And you – the Bridge of Hope community of support – keep pushing us to do more as well. With the growing need, as well as encouragement from many supporters, we have set a new campaign stretch goal of $9.3 million, up from the original $8.4 million goal. Every dollar toward this goal helps make room for more families who need a place to call home.

I am thrilled to share that we are already 96% of the way to this new goal! That means just $392,718 remains to raise by March 31, 2026This stretch goal gives us the chance to do even more together.

God is doing beautiful things in and through each of you. I am so grateful – and so is Amber and other moms like her who find housing and hope through Bridge of Hope.
