  • Cuts to funding and changes to federal assistance programs like SNAP and Medicaid will exacerbate the consequences of unaffordable housing, especially for lower-income households, families with children, and those headed by an older adult. This article from Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies shares how federal assistance programs help mitigate the worst of the housing crisis.
  • This tool from Urban Institute monitors the most recent state data on homelessness and housing inventory, so you can explore homelessness trends and how much your state relies on federal funding for housing programs.
