We are thrilled to introduce the new Chester County Program Director and Church Engagement Director!

Rachel Thomas Steadman

We welcome Rachel Thomas Steadman as the new Program Director. “I believe in Bridge of Hope’s work because it is Christ centered, thoroughly and lovingly thought out and has lasting impact on families and those who walk alongside them” says Rachel. Rachel brings 15 years of experience in social work, supervision and housing. She has a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College, a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Most recently, she worked for 12 years at Eagleville Hospital in drug and alcohol recovery, facilitating group and individual therapy, developing treatment plans and providing case management. Rachel previously served as a Neighboring Volunteer with Bridge of Hope and is looking forward to helping people pave a path to a better life in her new role.

We are excited to announce that Reverend Scott Dorsey has joined us as the Church Engagement Director. Rev. Dorsey brings experience in both church leadership and social services to Bridge of Hope. He served as pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church and Transfiguration Baptist as well as Moderator for the Philadelphia Baptist Association. He has also served as Program Director for Children’s Choice Foster Care and Adoption Agency. Currently he serves on the Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Kutztown University and a Master’s of Education from Cabrini College. He commented, “I believe in Bridge of Hope’s work because I believe the work we do helps those in need overcome the trauma of homelessness. The work we do demonstrates love and compassion to our brothers and sisters who are in need of a helping hand.”

A fond farewell to Lisa Cameron, who previously served as Bridge of Hope Chester County’s Executive Director. Lisa is now serving as a Program Consultation Specialist for Bridge of Hope National.
