Have you noticed it? Bridge of Hope is making room!
We are making room for the church to be the hands and feet of Christ to moms and kids with nowhere to go and no one to turn to.
In April 2023, we began approaching people individually to invite support for our MAKING ROOM 3-year comprehensive campaign. Earlier this month, at our Spring Gala Luncheon, we announced it publicly for the first time! To everyone who attended the Gala or contributed to the campaign—thank you for your incredible support. Thanks to your compassion and care, more families facing homelessness now have a place to call home.
Making Room is an $8.4 Million initiative to provide more avenues of affordable housing, serve more Bridge of Hope families and launch Bridge of Hope in six new communities.
Hebrews 13:1-3 says, “No matter what, make room in your heart to love…and show hospitality.”
The need has never been greater. In just five years, calls for help from families facing homelessness have increased 441% across our 20 Bridge of Hope locations. Recognizing this urgent demand, our board committed over two years ago to MAKE ROOM—for more families, more Neighboring Volunteers, and more pathways to affordable housing through this campaign.
Following an incredibly successful Gala that surpassed our $300,000 matching goal, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve now reached 85% of our overall campaign target!

One of the most powerful moments of the program was hearing from Amber, a featured voice in our Making Room campaign, who received a heartfelt standing ovation.
Amber shared this: “I’m not just a statistic, but a mom who found herself in a hard place. Most people don’t realize how quickly their lives can change, until it does.” Amber also shared, “I am eternally grateful for everything each and every one of you have done for me. The opportunities that have come my way and the unwavering kindness have set me on a path for success.”
