The Next Step: Forming a Bridge of Hope Start-up Group

"Bridge of Hope and the local church both need each other to do ministry."

-Tony Genaro, mentor from Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd

At the conclusion of your Bridge of Hope meeting, invite those present to join you in forming a Bridge of Hope start-up group of 8+ people. Once your start-up group is formed, we provide concrete tools, encouragement and unlimited consultation to help you complete the four tasks of this stage:

  • Conducting a needs assessment
  • Introducing the Bridge of Hope model to local churches
  • Raising (a total of) $2,500 from 20 or more different sources
  • Recruiting 8 - 12 people to serve on the affiliate's founding board of directors

The work of a Bridge of Hope Start-up Committee usually takes 6 - 10 months.

You can help end and prevent homelessness among single mothers and their children in your community. To learn more about Bridge of Hope and to request a free start-up packet, contact us.
